Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).

To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

L’HÔPITAL BON-SECOURS de Metz a changé de peau et de siècle. Recroquevillé jusqu’ici en plein cœur de la cité mosellane, il trône depuis le 22 octobre à 15 kilomètres de là, au sommet de l’allée du château, sur le domaine de Mercy à qui il a emprunté le nom. Surtout, ces 100 000 m2, 18 kilomètres de couloirs, 584 lits, 2 300 personnels et 320 médecins et internes bénéficient du tout numérique (...)."
